JRDC Graduate Testimony – Atto Abdul Mohammed Ali

As the Shashamane Foundation gives thanks and praises to The Most High for 25 years of impactful service and sacred partnership with the JRDC Charity School, we joyfully reflect on the fruits of this labor of love.

Since our founding, we have been blessed to walk alongside the Jamaican Rastafarian Development Community (JRDC) in nurturing the minds and spirits of over 2,000 students. Each child that passes through the gates of the JRDC School carries a seed of potential—and with your prayers, support, and sacrifice, many have gone on to blossom into contributors, creators, and leaders in their communities and beyond.

Today, as part of our 25th Anniversary reflections, we are proud to share the journey of one such seed—Atto Abdul Mohammed Ali, a shining example of what happens when faith meets opportunity. Once a student in the JRDC classrooms, Atto has grown into a powerful voice in media. He now serves as a journalist, DJ, and radio broadcaster at the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), reaching audiences across the country and inspiring the next generation through the power of words and music.

His story is one of many, and it stands as a testimony to the enduring value of the JRDC project and the global village that supports it. It is a reminder that education, when rooted in cultural pride, spiritual consciousness, and community care, yields a harvest beyond measure.

As we honor 25 years of this divine mission, we invite you to continue this journey with us. Let us nurture more voices, more leaders, and more dreams. Let us keep sowing, watering, and watching the harvest grow.
